Usage Guide: Host Setup
After setting the required environment variables in the Host pre-setup stage, you can proceed with the automated installation and configuration of Cluddy Host.
1. Run the installation commandThis will download all required components, configure your VPS, and install dependencies.Execution time may vary (up to 5 minutes) depending on your VPS performance.Once started — just wait.If errors occur, double-check all previous steps.

2. Important notes
Do not move or delete any installed files. This can lead to irreversible consequences and unpredictable behavior.
By running this command and using Cluddy products, you confirm that you have accepted the EULA and other legal documents.
All further actions on your VPS are performed at your own risk. Even with advanced system knowledge, you bear full responsibility for any modifications.
The initial Cluddy Host session is limited to 30 minutes for security reasons — after that, the host will shut down automatically.
3. Save your new SSH portAfter installation completes, you will see:
Commands for starting Cluddy Host in the future
Your new SSH port
From now on, connect using this new port:
ssh root@<vps-ip> -p <new-port>
🚨 Important: Save this port in a secure place along with your VPS credentials.
4. Start Cluddy HostIf installation was successful, start the host as soon as possible (while your AUTH_TOKEN is still valid):
systemctl start cluddy-host
Wait a few seconds — your Cluddy Host is now running.You will use this same command to start the host in the future, so keep it handy.To start Cluddy Host again use command:
systemctl restart cluddy-host
Or:
systemctl start cluddy-host
5. TroubleshootingIf the host fails to start or you cannot connect:1. Check the logs:
journalctl -u cluddy-host -f
2. If you see a license or subscription verification error, contact Cluddy Support (especially if you have not received any deactivation email).3. If the error is unrelated to license checks, some dependencies may not have been installed correctly:
Re-run the setup from scratch according to specific error.
